It's not news that the entertainment landscape is rich with movies and TV involving the paranormal, vampires and werewolves -- in fact, we're reaching the oversaturation point.
Perhaps that's what's so refreshing about Rodrigo Cortes' latest film, Red Lights. While it delves into the supernatural and the possibility of psychic powers, it's an original take on an oft-used theme. The movie focuses on paranormal psychologist/debunker Margaret Matheson (Sigourney Weaver) and her assistant, Tom Buckley (Cillian Murphy), as they work hard to expose world-famous psychic Simon Silver (Robert De Niro) as a fraud. It's full of absolutely gripping scenes, with commendable performances from all three leads.
Moviefone caught up with Murphy and Cortes on a press tour in Toronto, and they spoke with us about the themes of the film, what it was like working with De Niro and if any freaky occurrences happened on set (hint: something did happen).

Red Lights has been released in the US already, and opens in Toronto theatres on Friday, August 10.
