By now, there is an infinite number of The Hunger Games reviews making the rounds. Many of them seek to find something (anything!) to sully the massive beast of a franchise that's literally taking over everything -- billboards, TV ad space, the internet, our brains.
Surely something so calculated can't be good, right? Wrong. In a nutshell: The Hunger Games isn't a sublime opus by any stretch of the imagination, but there is an intangible quality to the movie that makes you want to root for it; a wholesomeness, a realness that sucks you in. I refuse to succumb to snark, since there are so many things to love about the movie. [Warning: Potential Spoilers!]
